Design and Build
The OPPO RENO8 5G phone is a device that is designed to be used by both business and personal users. It is a powerful, feature-rich device used for work and play. The device has a 6.6-inch screen with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It also has an aspect ratio of 19:9, which means that it has a tall screen and thin bezels around the edges. The screen is made of Corning Gorilla Glass 6, so it is safe from scratches and cracks. The OPPO RENO8 has an AMOLED display, which means it has vibrant colours and deep blacks. The display also looks great in any lighting condition and will make you want to watch everything on your phone.
OPPO RENO8 is an excellent phone for users looking to stay connected and entertained. The Reno8 5G is powered by MediaTek’s Density 1300 5G SoC, which must provide smooth performance for games, apps, and streaming. Mobile entertainment is smooth at all times, day or night; big props to the 80W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge and OPPO’s exclusive Battery HealthEngine guarantees you the best mobile experience yet. The Reno8 5G significantly improves heat dissipation and maintains excellent results with the Super-Conductive Vapor Compartment (VC) Liquide Cooling System.
The Oppo Reno 8 Pro looks premium, clean, and unique, which is typical of Oppo’s design aesthetic. The phone has a glass back and bevelled edges, offering a velvety texture and a polished sheen that catches light from all angles. It is available in two variants: green and black. We tried the latter, but the pastel green finish is the most appealing of the two. The phone has a USB-C port on the bottom and a dual-SIM slot.
It is a phone that has all the features you need and want in a smartphone. It has a fantastic design, outstanding performance, and long battery life. You can also use it to stream your favourite movies on Netflix and YouTube with ease.
Just because there is no variable refresh rate on the phone, you can only choose between the faster 120Hz option and the more power-efficient 60Hz option. Overall, the screen is incredibly smooth and highly responsive to the touch. It has little glare and rarely needs to be transformed to full brightness to be readable.
The OPPO Reno 8 5G has an under-display fingerprint scanner that reacts to touch. Even though haptics is adjustable, you can change the intensity of the touch vibrations to suit your needs. The default mode is snappy and not overpowering, strikingly similar to the Find X5 Pro.
Dual stereo speakers are included with the Reno 8 5G. Because there is no sound processing software, audio is loud and even from both ends of such a device.
Software
The Reno 8 comes with ColorOS 12.1, Oppo’s Android 12.0-based skin. While not stock Android, this OS is clean and straightforward, with the option to alter the icons and widgets to your taste. There are a few annoying pre-installed apps, but nothing on the scale of what you will find on handsets from Xiaomi or Huawei.
The Oppo Reno 8 has split screen mode, flexible windows, quick launch functions when unlocking the phone, and a status bar to open apps faster for multitaskers. With the Reno 8 Pro, you get two years of guaranteed OS updates and three years of security updates.
Storage and Battery
In terms of storage space, this device comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory, plus support for MicroSD cards up to 256 GB (not included) and a 4,000mAh battery. This means I can store all my files, such as videos and photos, without worrying about running out of space.
I can save even more energy by enabling the battery-saving mode and the 60Hz refresh rate. An 80W brick and a USB-C cable are included in the box. In 30 minutes, this can charge the device to 98%. Fortunately, the phone does not overheat, a common issue in devices with fast charging speeds like this.
Camera
The Reno8 5G is powered by Dual Sony Flagship Sensors and several AI-enhanced imaging features such as Ultra Night Video and Night Portrait. It adopts a flagship-level streamlined unibody design by integrating the camera module and the back cover, making it appear smooth and seamless.
The night mode feature on the OPPO RENO8 5G is amazing. Users can document in 4K at 30 frames per second or 1080p at 60fps. A 1080p ultra-steady mode diminishes handshake, but the overall impact is relatively superficial.
The NPU is most useful when shooting video at night. Colours are suitably lifted when the AI mode is enabled, though you will not achieve the same level of detail as recording during the day.
The 32-megapixel self-shooter is still quite impressive. According to Oppo, this is the identical one seen on the Find X5, and the colours are nice and bold, and the bokeh effect in portrait mode hits the sweet spot with the amount of blur. It also has a vast manner, which is ideal for group selfies.

What makes the phone stand out?
Personally, I prefer the OPPO Reno8 5G because it is a phone that stands out because of its powerful performance, reliability, and durability.
It has some interesting privacy options as well.
The OPPO Reno8 5G is an excellent phone for those who want to stream 4K content, play games, and browse the internet. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon X24 modem, meaning I can stream at 4K resolution at 60fps with no issues. This is also an excellent option for gamers who want to take their gaming experience wherever they go.
The OPPO Reno8 5G phone stands out in several ways. It is the first phone of its kind, featuring an all-new MediaTekDimensity 1300 5G-integrated SoC that provides smooth performance for games, apps, and streaming. The Reno8 5G also features a 5.85″ Full HD+ AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection so yes, I would definitely choose the OPPO Reno8 5G phone anytime.

Verdict
The Oppo Reno 8 5G is attractive since it offers near-flagship-level performance, a sleek design, and fast charging. The primary 50 Mp camera performs admirably, but the secondary cameras far exceed expectations.
Besides this, the short security update promise implies that customers are less likely to keep this gadget for years, and there is fierce price competition from rivals. Oppo has once again delivered a trustable mid-range device.
