Most of us may have heard about the Kama Sutra but we may not exactly be sure what it is about.  Growing up in a time when talking about sex was taboo even thinking of discussing what Kama Sutra was or the sex positions would have been impossible. But now as people become more liberal and more aware about sex and pleasure, people are seeking to find out more information about the Kama Sutra. Let us start with the basics.

The Kama Sutra is an ancient Indian text widely considered to be the most famous and comprehensive guide to sexual pleasure and relationships. It is believed to have been written in the 3rd century CE, and is divided into seven books, each of which covers a different aspect of human sexuality, including love, sexual positions, and eroticism.

The Kama Sutra is not only a guide to sexual positions but also a guide to love and relationships. It covers a wide range of topics, including courtship, marriage, and the art of living a fulfilling life. It is a comprehensive guide that provides practical advice on how to improve sexual pleasure and strengthen relationships.

When it comes to sexual positions, the Kama Sutra describes 64 different positions. However, not all of these positions are easy for women to achieve orgasm, but some of the positions that have been found to be more effective for women to reach orgasm are:

The Coital Alignment Technique (CAT)

This position involves the man positioning himself slightly higher than the woman, with his body pressed against hers. This allows for both deeper penetration and increased clitoral stimulation for the lady.

The Butterfly Position

This involves the woman lying on her back with her legs bent and her hips on the edge of a bed or table. The man kneels between her legs and enters her. This allows for deep penetration and easy access to the clitoris. The Clitoris: Things Everyone Should Know

The Reverse Cowgirl

This involves the woman straddling the man while facing his feet. This allows her to control the depth and angle of penetration, which can increase her chances of orgasm.

The Yab Yum

This is a variation of the Lotus position, where the woman sits in the man’s lap with her legs wrapped around his waist.  The two advantages of this are that it allows for deep penetration and also allows the woman to control the depth and angle of penetration.

The Wheelbarrow

This Kama Sutra position involves the woman in a plank position and the man holding her hips and supporting her weight. This allows the woman to control the angle of penetration and also allows for deeper penetration.

It’s important to note that what works for one person may not work for another, and it’s important to communicate with your partner and find what works best for both of you. The Kama Sutra is not only a guide to sexual positions but also a guide to love and relationships. It encourages the exploration of one’s sexuality.
