Weddings have a special place in African society. They are events where one will witness unique fashion designs and a mix of different colours. Many people may attend weddings, but not all come for the same reason. At a wedding, you are likely to meet different types of people.
Here are the nine types of people you will likely meet at a wedding.
1. The Stalker
This individual comes to the wedding to stalk one of the lovebirds. They want to ensure that the marriage is really happening or hoping that something will stop the wedding.
An ex who wants to ensure that the feelings in their hearts are completely gone. Or they are hoping that the person may change their mind.
At a wedding, a stalker is constantly looking at the two lovebirds to make sure that they are getting married.
2. The Single and Searching
This one purposely comes to the wedding with an open mind to meeting someone new. This type of person is dressed to kill.
At a wedding, the single and searching maintains a cool aura and looks inviting.
3. The Fashionista
Though everyone is dressed to their best, the fashionistas are the most conspicuous of them all. Their style is unique and stands out from everyone else’s.
Their purpose of attending is motivated by the platform for fashion display that a wedding offers. We must admit that one can’t wear some designs to work or while running regular errands.
4. The one who does not know anyone
This person doesn’t know who is getting married to who. Probably, a friend to a friend of the bride told them, “are you busy this weekend, or can we attend this wedding in town?”
That’s how they found themselves in that church. They are seeing the bride and bridegroom for the first time.
They are here to have a good time while passing the weekend.
At a wedding, these types of guests sometimes look clueless.
5. The chatty guest
Though weddings may have moments where people sing, dance, and move around, some moments require total silence.
However, for some reason, this guest can’t keep quiet. They whisper after every few minutes.
She is probably commenting on things going on, such as the dressing of the bridal team and whatnot.
6. The Blogger
Taking photos is expected at a wedding. You’d want to take a few colourful pictures of yourself and maybe new friends.
However, this guest is moving around with their phone taking selfies, pictures, and videos of what is happening.
At a wedding, the blogger is the one holding their phone all the time taking pictures.
7. The observer
The observer is here for every detail they can observe about the wedding. They look at how the preparation team did décor and how the bride and team dressed. The observer is also looking at how the whole place looks, and every other detail that one can see.
They are quiet, with open eyes to savour any sight worth seeing.
8. The dancer
Some individuals light up the whole mood at a wedding with their dancing moves. Perhaps their best moments at a wedding are when the music is playing so that they get to put their dancing skills to work.
They know every dance move that the MC will suggest, and they can’t wait for the next move to showcase their moves.
9. The quiet one
Then there are a group of individuals whose attendance at a wedding does not involve diving into the light moments of singing, dancing, and laughter because they are quiet from the beginning of the wedding to the end of it all.
Weddings are colourful and full of energy. Every guest attends a wedding for unique reasons and participates therein differently. It is interesting to attend and see all these things.
