The realme C15 is relatively new in the country, but we can already anticipate that it will do well. It is equipped with fascinating specifications for its price and quality, and you’ll understand why in a few minutes.
When it comes to phones, there are key things that most people look out for. The camera quality is usually somewhere at the top of that list. We also look out for the phone size, storage, processor, battery capacity, and the overall display of the phone. If your phone can give you all of these qualities, then for sure you will have value for your money.
When I first got my hands on the realme C15 phone, I felt like a brand new person. The phone came in a beautiful mustard yellow box with limited text and design, a classical statement. I was super excited to try it out especially because I haven’t actually tried this brand before. I have had the phone for a while now and there’s a lot to write home about.
Display
The realme C15 is a 16.5 cm, 6.5” mini drop full screen. It has no buttons on the screen, which covers the entire phone. It’s quite classy if you ask me. The one I got particularly came in seagull silver, which I found to be a calm colour. The phone is also available in blue if you prefer that alternative.
For someone who doesn’t particularly like big phones, I found this to be huge. However, it’s width is pretty small making it handy and easy to use and text with one hand.
On the back, it has a quad camera and a fingerprint scanner, with a nice geometric triangular gradient design that has different shades of grey. It looks really subtle and yet classy at the same time.

Battery
The realme C15 has a 6000 mAh massive battery, which I must say, was one of the most fascinating qualities that I found on the phone. I can assure you it lasts a lot longer than normal phones. In fact, for someone who doesn’t exactly use the phone that much, you can probably go days without charging it.
Another thing I must say that caught my attention is that the battery does not reduce when the phone is not in use, even when there are apps running in the background. This, again, is a plus when it comes to the Realme C15.
The realme C15 charges relatively fast, as it has the ‘quick charge function.’ So it’s a win-win situation. Fast charging, fast battery retention. It has the super power-saving mode which allows you to maintain 5% for 107 minutes. This, I can attest to be true. So if you’re ever in a situation where your phone’s battery is about to die and you can’t access a charger, this will give you the perfect solution.
Camera
For most of us when we are purchasing a new phone we anticipate a good camera, and that was one of the things I was most excited to try out. The realme C15 camera has a 13 Megapixel AI Quad Camera, quite impressive.
The primary camera is 13 MP. It also has a 2MP B & W lens, a 119 degrees ultra-angle lens, and a 2MP retro lens. The selfie camera is 8 MP.
Here are a few portrait mode selfie shots that I took using the phone, which I was extremely pleased with. However, I felt that the bokeh effect could have been better. The background could have been more blurry.

I also tried to do an outdoor shoot to get a feel of the realme C15 camera and how it works with light. To my surprise, it did much better with the outdoor shoot than the indoor one. I must say that the camera has a little bit of over-exposure, but not to worry because you can always adjust the brightness on the phone itself.

The night camera also did pretty well even with relatively low light. It focuses on the image in a splendid way to bring out minute details. Here is an image that I took under very minimal light, using the flash.

Processing Power
The realme C15 has an Helio G35 gaming processor. This is just perfect. There’s no lag in the way the phone responds to touch. On top of this, it has an Octa-Core 12nm processor which makes it more efficient.
Storage
The realme C15 has 3GB/4GB RAM and 64 GB ROM. In my experience, filling up 64 GB takes quite a long time, and when you do, you will realize that it’s time to delete the unnecessary things from your phone. So this is a pretty good deal.
Phone Experience
The realme C15 is pretty user-friendly. You know that feeling when you get a new phone and you have to start learning how to use it? You don’t get that feeling with this phone. It’s easy to follow through from the point of setting it up to actually using it.
The realme C15 is relatively light in weight, that is, 206 grams. This is convenient, seeing as nowadays we carry our phones almost everywhere. You wouldn’t want a phone that seems like another load you have to walk around with.
I like that you can completely customise it to look the way that you like. Your phone can be completely unique compared to everyone else with the exact same phone. You can change the themes, the icon style, and the layout of your home and lock screen.
The display of different apps on the home screen is aesthetically pleasing. The icons are just the right size, even for someone who has eye problems.

Another interesting feature is the “Clone Phone” which allows you to literally clone your phone, by transferring data on your old phone to your new phone. It’s quick and efficient. All you have to do is scan the QR code on the new phone. Interesting, right?
Given that the size of the realme C15 is pretty big, it’s so convenient that you can stream videos on the go. The resolution and picture quality are also really good, which helps you to watch Netflix, Showmax, and youtube easily without straining your eyes.
Price
The realme C15 goes for approximately Ksh 17,000 at Phone Place Kenya and Kilimall. This is pretty reasonable for all the reasons stated above: the camera quality, storage, and the processing speed being the Unique Selling Points.
