A natural makeup look is a trickier concept than it sounds. This is because you need good skills and knowledge in makeup to pull it off. However, once mastered, it’s one of the quickest makeup looks. Here’s a guide on how to do a natural makeup look.

  1. Wash & Moisturize

This first step is crucial to pulling off a natural makeup look. Your skin needs to be flawless so as to avoid using too much makeup to conceal its imperfections. In order to get smooth, radiant skin, it’s important to have a skincare routine. This includes exfoliating and cleansing the skin. Once you’re done, apply a lightweight moisturizer that contains SPF to protect your skin from the sun. 1. Prime

Primer is meant to prepare your skin for makeup application. It reduces the appearance of your pores and texture of your skin giving you a smooth canvas. Therefore, you should invest in a good face primer as they come in handy. Take a small amount and apply on your face as you would with lotion. You should notice a difference in your face’s appearance after a while. Beauty Hacks That Save You Time In The Morning

  1. Foundation & Concealer

Make sure your foundation is the correct shade. Beauty gurus recommend that you go a shade lighter as foundation oxides and darkens. Once you’ve picked your foundation, apply to only the places you feel need a little touch-up. Use a beauty blender or brush to blend it. Beauty blenders achieve better results and give you a more natural makeup look as opposed to brushes which might leave stroke lines. Apply concealer to your under eyes and blend. Finish off with a powder to absorb any excess oil. 8 Tips For Picking The Right Foundation Shade

  1. Blush

Blush is like a secret weapon when it comes to a natural makeup look. it makes you look alive and youthful using very little effort. Like most people, I used to avoid wearing blush as you might end up looking like a party clown if you’re not careful. Look for a colour closest to your natural blush. For instance, if you’re dark skinned, avoid pink and red. Apply a dot to your cheekbones and blend till you have a very subtle colour. You may also apply to other areas such as chin and forehead to look like you got some sun.

  1. Eyebrow & Lashes

Keep your eyebrows groomed to make it easier to fill them out. Use a brow pencil to fill in the scarce areas. Ensure that the colour matches your natural hair colour. To widen your eyes, use a mascara that lengthens and volumizes your lashes. Apply to both your top and lower lashes. 6 Makeup Trends You Should Try For A Different Look

  1. Lips

Prep your lips by applying lip balm to moisturize them. From there, you can either leave them as they are, add lip gloss or apply a nude lipstick. Skin & Beauty: How To Keep Your Lips Looking Luscious
