Emirates Airlines has launched its Apple Watch app which will be available on the 24th of April. It has smart features, a sleek interface and is designed to complement the Emirates iPhone app. Emirates will be the first airline in the Middle East and African region to offer app.
Some of the key features include being able to review upcoming trips, getting information in real time on flights including the terminal, gate number, flight status, baggage collection details, etc. Customers will also be able to get airline notifications like changes in gate numbers. The app is also compatible with the Apple passbook.
The Emirates app for Apple Watch is an extension of the Emirates iPhone app; it was designed as a companion for travelers, delivering dynamic and context-specific data such as live flight status updates.
The Apple Watch Platform allows travelers to get real time information throughout their journey says Alex Knigge, Senior Vice President, Digital at Emirates. The Emirates app is developed with modern travelers in mind and delivers key information just by glancing at their wrists.
