If you have been following the news you will have heard that Durex was developing smartphone technology that would change your life forever. The smartphone technology is supposed to allow couples to have better orgasms. Thousands of people from around the world visited the “Durexlabs” to find out about this new innovation. Now Durex has revealed what the smartphone technology is and it’s so simple it should be applied immediately.
It’s the off button.
Yap its that’s simple. You are going to want to watch this video of couples who volunteered to test the technology and make their lives better. Only for them to realize the solution had been right there in front of them.
Technology has in the recent decades been found to affect love lives.
According to Researchers from Durham’s Centre for Sex, Gender and Sexualities at least 40% of people interviewed have delayed sex because of technology while others have reported that they have hurried sexual activity in order to respond to messages while others have admitted to interrupting sex to attend to their phones.
Ukonwa Ojo, Head of Global Brand Equity at Durex says that technology plays a pivotal role in our relationships but it can cause people to disconnect. The solution is “we should disconnect to reconnect.” This campaign is a reminder that it’s important for us to “turn off to turn on”
Susie Lee, the app entrepreneur and CEO of Siren Mobile says that although tech is important it can never replace human interaction and chemistry comes from intimacy. It is important to focus on your partner in the bedroom, rather then on smartphones or tech gadgets.
Dr. Mark McCormack, Co-Director of the Centre for Sex, Gender and Sexualities at Durham University says that technology has revolutionized our lives and it is now central to organization of relationship including maintaining love and affection when couples are apart. But he says it comes with serious costs to relationships in the bedroom as it has made its way into the bedroom more then we can imagine.
Durex is known for some of its interesting campaigns around the area of sexual wellness. Last year they caused a storm with their “turn off your devices, turn on your intimacy campaign.” This year it seems they have taken the campaign a notch further.
