Safaricom is revamping its monthly postpay plan into Go Monthly Bundles to create a worry-free experience. It will help customers better manage their spending on airtime and data bundles.

How does Go Monthly Work?

It is available by dialling *544# or using the MySafaricom App.

To access it:

  1. Dial *544#.
  2. Choose Option 4 which is now listed as Go Monthly.
  3. Choose among All-in-one, Data Only, Minutes Only or Joint-PostPay Plans.
  4. Select the amount you wish to pay from Sh500 to Sh10,000.

For a standard Sh1,000, you get:

  • 5GB Data + 2GB YouTube Data + 400 minutes + 1000 SMS + Free WhatsApp if you choose the All-in-one plan.

Or

  • 7 GB + WhatsApp if you choose the Data Only bundle

Or

  • 800 minutes + Free WhatsApp for the Minutes Only Plan

The bundle is only valid for 30 days from the date of purchase.

The Sh500 plan is available All-in-one only. And the Sh10,000 plan doesn’t have Data Only and Minutes Only bundles.

Here are the data-only plans that you can take advantage of.*

Advantages of Safaricom Go Monthly

Prepaid lets you pay for calls, bundles, and texts as you go. It’s easy to lose track of your spending and possibly spend too much money. The Go Monthly plan offers the following advantages:

1.    Convenience

Once you’ve paid for your bundle, you won’t have to worry about running out of airtime during important phone calls. The Prepaid option doesn’t notify you when your airtime is low or warn you before making a call that you’re almost out of airtime the way it does with bundles. You may also not remember to check your airtime balance before making an important phone call. Go Monthly protects you from running out of minutes.

Go Monthly also notifies you when you’re running out of minutes. You will be notified when you’re down to 60 minutes and 2 minutes.

2.    Easy to join

Usually, signing up for a monthly payment can be cumbersome and require too many details. However, the Go-Monthly Plan is easy to sign up by using a USSD code if you don’t use a smartphone or the My Safaricom App. You can also purchase as any bundles as you want,

3.    Value for money

If you use data to conduct your business, this is the most affordable option for you. The package offers data, minutes, SMS, 2GB of YouTube, and free WhatsApp.

4. Go Monthly Phones

With the Go Monthly Plan, you can now purchase devices on Post Pay. Getting a new phone is now easier and budget-friendly. The device will be on a Post Pay connection during the repayment period.
