I found out my girlfriend was cheating on me in the worst possible way. My friend saw her kissing another man inside his car. That wasn’t even the worst part. It turned out the man was her colleague who had hired her for the job. I think the most humiliating thing is finding out that your partner is having an office affair. I didn’t know what to do since I knew if I confronted her she would just deny it. So, I came up with a plan that would make her feel the way I felt when I found out she was cheating.
“I thought Diana was an angel,” I said to my friend after he broke the news.
“There’s no angel in this world. You just have to be smart.” He replied.
His comments hit me hard. I had been too blind and trusting in my relationship that it got to a point where my girlfriend was cheating on me with her colleague. Normally, I would never tolerate it but I gave Diana the benefit of the doubt since I wanted something serious with her. I also made sure that I took care of everything so that she wouldn’t need anything. If she wanted to do her hair and nails, I paid for them. I took her out every weekend and I was even planning on starting her dream boutique for her. Maybe she took my kindness as a weakness because she cheated on me despite everything I did.
I didn’t confront her about the cheating immediately but it was hard to share a bed and my space with her knowing that she was sleeping with another man. It actually became more regular as the days went by. However, their carelessness was all to my advantage. It just gave me more evidence against them. I even mastered the other man’s car and license plate but my main focus was on Diana since she was the one who cheated on me.
“Babe, remember the business I told you about?” I asked her, feigning excitement.
“Yeah, how is it going?”
“I think we can open it soon.”
“Really?” She perked up.
I knew that she wanted to quit her job for a long time but I didn’t know why. When I found out about the cheating, it all made sense. She must have been the talk of the office and it was taking a toll on her. I knew the business was her weakness and I could use it to get my revenge.
“Yes, babe. It’s almost ready.”
“Can I go and see it?”
“No, I want you to see it when it’s perfect but I think you should give your resignation notice.”
She was hesitant at first but I continued to press her about it and she finally gave in. I knew that she was reaching her limits with her work and I just needed to give her a reason to quit. After showing her pictures of the “boutique” being renovated, she finally made the decision to quit her job.
“I’ll give my notice tomorrow.”
“Perfect. The boutique will be done by the end of the month then I can finally show you.”
For the next two weeks, she wanted every update on the boutique. I kept feeding her everything she wanted to hear and she ate it up. It felt good, actually. I had built up the hype about this business and she was bragging to her friends how it would be the hottest business in town.
Diana knew I could do it and I was willing to do it for her, at some point. However, that ship sailed the minute I found out she was cheating. I also didn’t feel bad about lying to her since she could lie to me even when I told her about the boutique. She continued to have an affair without shame so she was going to reap what she sowed.
The two weeks went by really slow. I hated every night that I had to sleep with her and then watch her go to her job where the other guy was. Thankfully, it was over and I could tell her the truth about the business.
After a night out with her colleagues, she came home in an exceptionally bad mood. I suspected that her office boyfriend had broken things off with her since meeting her would be a hassle if she didn’t work with him. I couldn’t have wished for a better series of events.
Normally, she went to bed straight after a night out but she joined me on the couch where I was watching TV.
“I’ll all yours now, babe.” She said trying to seduce me.
“I have something to tell you.”
“Is it about the boutique?”
“Not really.” I was harsh which took her by surprise. “I know you’ve been cheating on me with your workmate.”
She was too shocked to speak.
“I…I…I don’t know…”
“Don’t bother. I have seen both of you in your car. You don’t even have any shame. You come with him to the apartment where you live with your boyfriend. Are you trying to rub it in my face because he got you the job?”
“It’s not what you think.”
It’s exactly what I think. You better save your explanation.”
“I didn’t mean to.”
“I don’t care, Diana. You’ve disrespected me and humiliated me in the worst way possible. You should leave. I never want to see you ever again.”
“What about the business?”
I laughed. Of course, she only cared about the business.
“There’s no business. I was lying to you.”
“What? I quit my job. Where will I go? You know I don’t have enough savings.”
“That’s not my problem. I want you out of this house.”
I had already packed the few things she had and kept them in the security guard’s room. She cried and begged me to forgive her but I knew it was all an act since she didn’t get the boutique and she was on her own.
When her friends heard about what had happened with the boutique, some of them actually supported me. They knew she was cheating and felt bad that I was investing in her and she didn’t value me. She tried to contact me a few times after we broke up but I was done with her and didn’t want to hear anything from her.
