Though bras mainly offer support, they cater to other needs and preferences that different women have. This means that they come in a variety of designs. However, most women are unaware of the different types of bras in the market. It’s necessary to have different bra options in case you need to wear one with a backless dress or one with extra padding. Therefore, you should be well-acquainted with the different types of bras that are available. Here are some.

  1. Stick On Bra

This bra comes with adhesive to stick to your skin without the help of straps. It’s ideal when wearing a strapless outfit or one with thin straps. It’s also great if you want to enhance your cleavage as it tends to give more lift than other bras. Stick-on bras may be great for special occasions but they don’t feel comfortable for everyday wear.

8 Bra Hacks Every Girl Should Know And Master

  1. Padded Bra

These are by far the most common bras, especially among young adult ladies. They’re comfortable and offer ample coverage while still enhancing your chest size. Additionally, some come with detachable straps that allow you to wear the bra with strapless clothes. The downside of padded bras is that they’re quite bulky which makes them visible under your clothes. Therefore, you can’t wear this kind of bra with light materials such as chiffon or silk.

    Lace Bra

This is a wardrobe must-have yet most people overlook it. This is mainly because lace bras were associated with older women. However, today, there are chic, modern lace bras for women of all ages. Lace is a great fabric on the body as it’s light and airy. However, this doesn’t offer much coverage or support. Lace bras are mostly known for their sensuality and style quality, not for their practicability. If you want a lace bra that’s practical as well, look for ones that have padding inside.

11 Common Bra Mistakes Women Make

  1. Nursing Bra

Nursing mothers have special needs when it comes to bras hence why there’s a special design for them. These bras have comfortable fabric, thick straps, and fuller cups to provide maximum support. They also come with detachable flaps in order to make the breastfeeding process easier without having to remove the whole bra.

Demi Bra

Women love these bras for their sexual appeal rather than their utility. However, they’re not ideal for women with larger breasts as they offer very minimal coverage. Since they have underwire, you have to be careful with the sizing as well. They’re quite beautiful and make your chest look beautiful but that’s about it for this bra.

5 Tips To Find The Right Fitting Bra

  1. T-Shirt Bra

Having your bra showing under your clothes is not a good look and it’s a major concern for many women. As the name suggests, this bra is designed to go invisible under your t-shirt or other body-hugging clothes. It also offers ample support and comes in a variety of designs including strapless. You can wear this bra with almost anything and it will give you a seamless look.

    Push Up Bra

Last but not least, it’s the beloved push-up bra. This is both a sexy and practical bra. It’s cut like the demi bra but offers more coverage and support. Push-up bras became popular especially among women with smaller breasts as it gives a fuller look thanks to their extra padding. They’re also great with women with larger breasts as they lift them up.
