That joy one feels at the end of the day when you take off your bra is almost closer to none. While this is more about the freedom that comes with being braless, it could also come from wearing an ill-fitting bra. Many women often wear uncomfortable bras that cause boob spillage, underwire that digs into their skin and straps that keep falling off all the time. So they spend their whole day longing to rip it right off. All these issues can be traced back at the moment of choosing and buying the bra. Shopping for bras is not the easiest thing in the world but once you know what you are looking for, you are able to get the right bra fit just for you.

Measure yourself

There is a difference between wearing a bra you think would fit you and wearing the right fit for you. Misjudging your bra size is a common mistake. The ABC’s have been used to measure bra sizes for a long time now. Your bra size is measured by combining your cup measurements ranging from AA-M and band size ranging from 28-44. While you can get a professional to help with the measurements, you can always use a tape measure at home too. For the cup measurements, you need to around your back over your nipples. For the band measurements, you lower your tape measure beneath your bust. Once you figure those out you can calculate your cup size.

For example, if your cup measures 36 inches, and your under bust measures 33 inches, you are a 32C. You just need to subtract your bust from your cup which is equal to 3. This corresponds to the letter C in the alphabet. Additionally, if you notice any changes in your bust size, it is important to get re-measured.

Quality over quantity

A good bra is a great investment. Breasts are one of the most delicate parts for the female body and require ample support. Quality is the difference between comfort and feeling trapped by your bra. You may opt to buy many bras at a cheaper price as opposed to two or three quality bras. However, lesser quality bras will lose elasticity and start falling apart quite quickly. Before you know it, you are back where you started where you own many uncomfortable bras. A quality bra gives your breasts full support which is a plus for your posture.

The Band Matters

The band in your bra supports your boobs. You need to get a band that holds your breasts all sung without cutting off blood circulation. To gauge the fit of the band, wear the bra and clip them on using the loosest hooks. Check to see if you can fit one finger beneath the band. If you can fit more than one finger, it may be too loose for you. Additionally, the band should be level from the front to the back. If it rides up on any side, it causes your skin to bulge outside the bra which is very uncomfortable.

Some women avoid wearing bras with underwire because it makes them uncomfortable. If this is the case, it is important that you choose a quality wireless bra. This brand offers a wide range of quality wireless bras for all cup sizes. Wireless bras are extremely versatile since they take to the shape of the wearer’s body. They also give this natural look. That means even if you are wearing a light top or dress, your bra is not visible.

Check design and style

Different brands make different bra designs and styles. This is to ensure that there is a bra for every situation. From full-cupped, half cupped and demi cupped bras, these styles are often found in various bra designs. Since there are various bra designs too such as sports bras, nursing bras and convertible bras, you need to pay attention to their styles. This is because it affects how they fit you. Additionally, check the material too. Soft and lacey bras do not provide as much hold as other materials. So if the brand has not made up for the support, you may feel very uncomfortable.

Know your proportions

At the end of the day, only you can be the judge of what makes you comfortable or not. Every woman’s body is different and what may work for another woman your size may not work for you. The great thing is, once you get used to a great fitting bra, there is no turning back. You become obsessed with the comfort. Do not be in a rush to buy bras. Take your time and find quality ones that fit right. Remember bras do not last forever. Just because it is getting lose doesn’t mean it was the wrong fit. It just means it is probably time to let it go.
