Digital technology has brought about changes and technological shifts that many would say are hard to grapple with, leave alone cope with. From buying CDs to streaming, TV to social media mainly YouTube and then we have podcasts. A possible shift from radio. But did you know that you don’t have to be tech-savvy to listen to a podcast? All you need is the internet and a pair of headphones. Probably the name of the podcast you wish to listen to but that is just a matter of “type” and “search.”
Podcasts are mobile-oriented making them easily accessible and an efficient way to make use of your free time. Unlike radio, they are also not tied to a schedule and importantly you get to choose what you listen to. With podcasts you also have control meaning you can fast forward, replay or even download an episode to listen offline.

- Living truthfully
If you haven’t listened to this podcast by Amani Maranga, it is time you did. As one of Kenya’s best podcasts, Living Truthfully sheds light on grey matters, giving men a platform where they can talk openly and freely. The real-life conversations are a highlight containing in-depth knowledge, awe-inspiring ideas, personal accounts of real-life stories but importantly, an affirmation that no situation is unique.
With an aim to salvage the boy child and address the plight that is mental issues Maranga covers topics from relationships to personal development, business/work tips, parenting and spirituality.
This podcast not only gives perspective and insight into men’s world but it is a melting point of captivating ideas, motivation and powerful messages that might change your life in the long run.
It is as educative as it is addictive. This is by far one of my best podcast and I would recommend it to anyone.
5. The spread Podcast
Hosted by Karenkazlucas or if you’d like Kaz, The Spread podcast only reinforces what we all know. That sex is primal. The podcast is an avenue full of sex-positive messages, insight on relationships, useful information on what many would call grey areas and other topics that of course would be considered a taboo. Why does it make it on this list? Because it is a very important and educative platform with powerful women who are ready to share their experiences, sex lessons, matters on sexual health, hacks but importantly listen. No judgement here! Must be Kaz’s mantra as it perfectly reflects in her strive to normalise conversations around sex and sexuality.
