Motown In Nairobi: A Chance To Get Down To Some Groovy Music This Thursday

Get ready! Tonight! We are going to make this a night to remember!

I love old music and sometimes I think I was born in the wrong era. I think I should have been born in the 60s so that I could really appreciate it when the bands I love were really getting into the swing of things. Luckily great music doesn’t die and there will always be a chance to get down to some great music from the 1960s and 1970s. I know the above video by Shalamar is from the 1980’s but there are not many party anthems that can really put it as well as this song can about the kind of night you will have when you go out to have a great time with some great jams.

Like tomorrow, the 19th of October there will be a dance party at The Hub Karen. At Motown in Nairobi you will get to get down and dance as you listen to some great vocalists and musicians, Denise Gordon,  June Gachui, Edward Parseen, Victor Muli and Chris Bittok. Joining them this year are younger voices like the soulful, Neema Ntalel, the timeless Dela and the spectacular Kendi Nkonge. One of my favourite Jazz bands The Different Faces band will be the house band so you can be sure it will be a party where you will get down until the break of dawn.
