Next week The Chartered Institute of Marketing will be having a breakfast Beyond Marketing – The Legacy of Leadership”. The idea is to talk about both marketing and leadership. Looking at how leaders in the 21st century can lead their organizations and also meet customer expectations. Marketing has always been a customer facing function and its work is to interact with customers selling both the tangible things like products and intangible things like service and perception.
Every person in the organization is a marketer for the organization. How they interact out there tells a lot about the organization. So how can organizations sell themselves to the outside world through their employees? Organizations need to have a legacy of leadership. This is why it is important to train and cultivate leadership skills in employees. So that they can take the organization to the next level.
