What will you be doing on 20th this Month? This year’s Mashujaa Day falls on a Tuesday, and here is an excellent plan for a long weekend if you can get Monday 19th Oct off.

watamu 1

From 17th to 20th October, I’m inviting you to come and experience Watamu with me and my friends. Watamu was recently voted one of the top beaches in the world by CNN Traveller. Many are drawn to its pristine beaches, nearby Gede Ruins, friendly people and fresh seafood. It’s never crowded in Watamu and this little pretty town puts you in holiday mode straight away.

Personally I want to go and experience the Love Island a little more. When the tide is out, you can walk to these Islands and hangout for 3-4 hours while swimming in clear, warm, shallow waters. The local guides will show you around the Islands. Last time I was lucky to see lots of interesting sea creatures and even got to eat some fresh oysters. watamu 6

So pack your bags and come to Watamu for 3 nights and 4 days of lazy, sunbaked days featuring ocean breezes, beach chairs, a swimming pool at a small intimate resort. At night we’ll make merry, play games and work the bar.
