Yesterday Kenya Breweries Limited, through its flagship brand Tusker Lager launched the ‘Team Kenya’ campaign. The Tusker Team Kenya campaign is about celebrating the great moments we have had as individuals and as a country, and reminding us why we need to be patriotic. It aims to celebrate achievements made by Kenyans and encourage Kenyans to celebrate the good times.

The launch which was held at the Tusker Buffet Park was attended by the crème de la crème of Kenyan sports, music and theatre. There was music and entertainment as Tusker showed its legacy of being there all through as part of Kenya’s big moments.

Arianne Okong’o, Tusker Marketing Manager said that 93 years on, Tusker’s brand legacy continues to shine, and is a national symbol of togetherness and Kenyan pride. The campaign will rally Kenyans to a powerful cause which is celebrating our heroes.

“Ever since the first 10 crates of freshly brewed Tusker Lager were delivered in a horse- drawn carriage to the Stanley Hotel in 1922, Tusker has continued to distinctively stand for authenticity, pride and togetherness,” said Ms. Okong’o. “Team Kenya is a continuation of the Tusker legacy that aims to be fused in all Kenya’s landmark moments, to celebrate the extra ordinary courage Kenyans exhibit every day.”

The campaign will provide a platform for Kenyans to cheer on their national sporting teams, support the arts and music industries as well as celebrate ordinary Kenyans who achieve extra-ordinary feats.

To be part of the campaign sign up on the Team Kenya platform by dialing *896# to register. There are chances to win various prizes after registering.

Tusker’s commitment to nurturing music and sports talent in the country has been on-going for several decades. Tusker Project Fame, Tusker FC and Tusker Safari Sevens are some of the big projects the brand has sponsored over the years. The brand also sponsors the national rugby 15’s team.
