Something’s should be said with reverence, like “cars at the Concours.”
There is something about old cars. I feel like old cars have a soul. They have seen so much, gone through so much, that their beauty is enhanced by their stories. But then again with old cars it’s also all about the design and workmanship, Cars that call out to you to admire them. Cars that make you dream of another time and place. Cars built to last for a long time. One of the things I love about old cars is that they were built to last, made from real metal not fibreglass that crumples when it gets a small hit.
I am an old movies and music fan. The kind of cars at CBA Concours D’elegance reminds me of gangsters in Chicago, or that Jazz scene where people go out to party and then drive home. The cars remind me of a time when having a car was a wow moment because they were so few and a car was a work of art, a masterpiece. Although you could say Ford did make many masterpieces.
I love cars, but not just any cars, old cars. My personal favourite is the old VW beetle. That was my father’s first car and therefore my first car as well for the first 5 years of my life. I love VW beetles so much that is on my bucket list of things I will measure my success with. Some people will measure their success by being able to buy the newest Mercedes or BMW; while those are awesome my dream car is an old restored BW beetle, not the new version. When I own my very own beetle I will be the happiest girl in the world.
The CBA Concours is about celebrating cars and bikes that leave you speechless, like your first crush that you fell in love with but their beauty or handsomeness made you tongue tied. The CBA concours combines all the things you would want at a car show, music, art, bikes and cars. If you love cars this is the event for you. Infact this is a great family outing. I plan to take my nephew, this will be a great time to bond with him and create memories that he will carry with him for the rest of his life.
For the ladies apart from the beautiful cars and bikes there will be a chance to show how much of a fashionista you are. You could win a prize for being the best dressed lady at the event so come dressed to impress.
