Need to relax but don’t have time to go away on a holiday?

Why not take a mini break by going to the Spa!

Spa treatments have been around for hundreds of years and have a number of health benefits. There are different types of body treatments include massages, facials, body wraps, body treatments and spa manicures.

Massages for example are good for calming your nervous system and helping you relax, they are also good for improving blood circulation, stimulating the lymphatic system, preventing muscles cramps and they can also be used for pain management. They are also used as part of therapy. Some of the massages include Swedish massage, deep tissue, Thai Massage, aromatherapy massage, hot stone and sports massage.

A massage usually lasts around 30 – 90 minutes.

NB. A warning though is that a massage is not advised if you have a fever, inflammation, osteoporosis and infections. Also if you have any rashes or wounds or you have just had an operation don’t have a massage. Pregnant women should get advice from their doctor on whether or not to get a massage. If you are not sure if you should or do a massage because of a medical condition it is best to ask your doctor first.
