Every new year, most people make their resolutions and set their goals for the year. A survey conducted by Finder revealed that almost 50% of people make New Year’s resolutions. However, they also found that nearly 12% of those who make resolutions don’t believe they will achieve them.  Making resolutions is only half the battle.

Sticking to your resolutions is usually the challenge and a few weeks or months down the line, most people lose focus on what they planned on achieving that year. Luckily, there are ways to make it easier to stick to your goals. One of the best ways is to create a vision board.

This is a collage of images that represent someone’s resolutions or goals. A vision board works pretty well since you can display it somewhere and remind yourself what you want to work towards. In the past, you had to make a physical one which took a lot of time. However, thanks to technology, there are a number of apps that are great for making vision boards. Here are some.

  1. Canva

Canva is by far the best and simplest way to make a vision board. It’s a popular app that many people use for simple graphics designing and anyone can easily use it. Additionally, it contains numerous templates to suit your style. Once you find a template that you like, simply click on it and start editing the pictures with your own then save and download your board. The best part is that it’s free and available for both Android and Apple users.

  1. Horizons

This app is especially good since it’s packed with features that help you make a vision board for different things such as a fitness, travel or career vision board. You can easily view each vision board you create as well as write down notes on the journal feature. The app is free but you can upgrade with a one-time payment of Ksh 500 or $4.99. It’s also available for Android and Apple users.

  1. Perfectly Happy

Perfectly Happy takes things to another level when it comes to creating a vision board. It has a video feature that animates your vision board and even allows you to add music. You can also access affirmations and motivational quotes through the app that can help you stick to your vision. These features are free. However, for an upgrade, you need to pay a monthly fee of Ksh 1000 or $10 which allows you to access unlimited templates and affirmations. It’s available for both Android and Apple.

  1. PicMonkey

With this app, creating a beautiful and unique vision board is at the tips of your fingers. The app contains numerous templates that you can easily edit with your own photos. It also allows you to save your vision board on the cloud and access it on any device so you don’t have to create new vision boards for every device you have. It’s free but to access unlimited templates, there’s an upgrade fee of Ksh 7,200 or $72 per year. It’s available for both Android and Apple.

  1. Corkulous

If you want to keep things old-school, Corkulous allows you to add images, notes, and stickers to your vision board which gives it a more vintage aesthetic. This also lets you put down your thoughts and bring your vision board to life. You can share your board with family and friends if you want which is also a great way to stick to your goals. This app is free and available for Apple only.
