Baldness is less common these days, Bald people can take advantage of the many hair restorations and replacement options today. A wig is a hairpiece that has been designed and processed by skilled hairstylists to create an artificial crowning glory. Wigs can be made from natural human hair, horse or buffalo hair, wool, animal hair, feather, or synthetic material such as acrylic fibre.

There is a huge variety of different types of wigs is available in the market such as you can get 13×4 lace frontal wig, burgundy bob wigs, 13×6 lace frontal wig and many more and all made of natural hair.

Who wears wigs?

Wigs are not only an option for people who are going bald due to old age or pattern baldness (common in men) and for people who are losing hair due to medical treatments (ex. The use of chemotherapy). Wigs are a fashionable option for those who want to make a fashion statement and be trendy.

Today, models often wear wigs to model fashion shows, actresses in theatre, and Hollywood stars for public appearances, pictorials, and movies. Wigs are a key component of fashion in many fashion-oriented countries.

Which is better: customized or conventional?

There are two main ways to make a wig high-tech wig making machines are used. These machine-made wigs can be found in department stores and fashion shops. Pre-customized wigs are generally lower in price than custom-made hair wigs.

Customized wigs, on the other hand, are made using the traditional method. Because they are made using a more laborious process, custom wigs are more detailed than machine-processed ones.

The first step in traditional wig-making is to measure the head of the subject. Hair technicians usually draw hairline patterns from the subject’s hair. Sometimes, hair technicians even create a copy of the subject’s skull to help with the design of a “wig shape”. The hair technicians create wig laces after creating the wig shape. These synthetic fibres are wig strands made of synthetic fibre or acrylic fibre. The wig laces must blend with the subject’s hair and be trimmed according to their head measurements and desired hairlines.

The “draft” wig can then be styled according to the subject’s wishes after the wig laces are inserted into the wig form. The wig stylist creates the wig to fit a particular hairstyle and trims the wig laces to the desired length. Finally, the wig is tinted to match the desired shade and colour of the subject. It is important to note that different wig styles require complementing synthetic materials for the wig laces. The final styling happens when the wigs have been placed on the subject’s scalp.

You can choose from a variety of colours and lengths for customized wigs. They are more costly than machine-made wigs because of the laborious process involved in creating them. Machine-mad wigs, on the other hand, are better for traditional use.
