Just like clothes, perfumes have their seasons. There are perfumes that work for hot weather and others that work for cold weather. This is determined by the scent tones and longevity of the wear. In cold weather, you need a mild scent with a long-lasting effect since dry skin, which comes with cold weather, doesn’t retain perfume as much as well-moisturized skin. Therefore, your favourite perfume during hot months might not be as pleasant during the cold months. Here are some great perfumes to try out during the cold weather.

  1. Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium

The combination of coffee, vanilla, white florals, and white musk notes makes this perfume ideal for the cold weather. Its subtle yet seductive scent will have you smelling glamorous all day long. Additionally, this scent attracts the right kind of attention leaving people intoxicated by it.  Black Opium is a must-have in your perfume collection and might just be your favourite cold-weather scent.

  1. Gucci Bloom

Gucci has some of the best fragrances in the market. Bloom is one of the fashion house’s popular perfumes, especially for the cold weather. Since its release, it has been causing a stir in the perfume world with its provocative yet classic scent. Additionally, it boasts of triple floral notes of jasmine, tuberose, and Rangoon creeper which creates this unforgettable scent. Contrary to its name and notes, this perfume actually smells more citrusy than floral with a menthol-like coolness.

  1. J’Adore By Dior Eau De Parfum

Mysterious and floral, J’Adore will have you turning heads as you walk by. This is a scent that demands attention with rich notes of jasmine, plum, musk, and blackberry. Additionally, it brags of a long-lasting scent and a gold liquid that shimmers on the skin giving you a much-needed glow during the cold weather. Though it’s bold, it smells youthful catering to both younger and older women.

  1. Chanel Coco Noir Eau De Parfum

Your perfume collection isn’t complete without Chanel. This unique scent inspires confidence, sensuality, and femininity which is common in Chanel products. Additionally, it’s a great choice for the cold weather as it has cinnamon, vanilla and Tonka bean notes which warm you up and aren’t too harsh on the nose. If you want to smell charming and enticing, this is the perfume for you.

  1. Hermès Twilly d’Hermès Eau Poivrée

The packaging might look like a fun fragrance for the hot weather but this colourful perfume has a spicy kick making it ideal for the cold weather. It was designed for younger women hence the playful colours and the millennial pink bottle. Furthermore, the fragrance has ginger, tuberose, sandalwood, and mild fruity notes giving it a sophisticated scent. Since it isn’t overbearing, Twilly is the perfect perfume for daily wear.

  1. Hugo Boss The Scent

The Scent is simply a man’s fragrance. It’s very masculine without being too complex which makes it ideal for the cold weather. Additionally, its ginger, lavender, and leather notes give it a nice, casual scent that can be attributed to the cologne’s popularity. Additionally, the scent works for both the older and younger demographic, unlike many men’s fragrances that are associated with the older generation.
