Yves Rocher launched a new lab store at The Hub, Karen targeting the growing middle-class population of Kenya. This new store will become the newest spot to buy quality beauty products that are both eco-friendly and affordable.

This French-based cosmetic company was founded in 1959 and has been in the country since 2016. It has made quite a name for itself within the years by maintaining high standards. It also offers a wide range of products to suit every lifestyle.

French women are known for their minimalistic, natural beauty which reflects in Yves Rocher products.  They are all made from plant extracts such as coconut, vanilla, mango and cedarwood inspired by Yves Rocher’s love for nature. The company also exclusively grows some of its plants in La Gacilly, France, for instance, the Ice plant used in its face serum.

The packaging is simple but beautiful, nonetheless. Most of its materials are recyclable since the company is a huge player in environmental conservation. It has also switched from plastic packaging to tube packaging for some of its products. This has significantly reduced the accumulation of plastic waste.

Additionally, for every product purchased the Yves Rocher Foundation will plant a tree. So far, they have planted over 69 million trees and are targeting 100 million trees by 2020. The foundation also promotes environmental protection through Plant For Planet operation that is in partnership with the Late Nobel Laureate Wangari Maathai. Its factories are also certified “quality, environmental and safe”.

As mentioned, Yves Rocher offers an affordable line of makeup, bath and skin care products. For makeup, the full coverage foundation costs Ksh 2,500 while the light coverage foundation costs Ksh 2,300. It also has a wide range of shades to suit most African complexions. Makeup remover goes for Ksh 500. Hand creams cost between Ksh 450 and Ksh 700 while nail polish range between Ksh 300 and Ksh 600.

It has anti-ageing products with a special formulation. Its target market for this product is women above 25 years, 35 years, 45 years and 55 years. All skins require care no matter the age. Therefore, these products are suited to depending on its conditions from boosting the skin’s radiance to tightening the skin. The products range from Ksh Ksh 1,500 to Ksh 3,500 and include cleansers, face serum and face creams.

Their fragrances include Eau de toilette and Eau de perfum. Most of them have a floral or fruity seductive scent which lasts for days. These products range from Ksh 3,500 and Ksh 7,000. There is also something for the men in your life.

The store also has welcoming customer service ready to assist you in your shopping and with any additional information on its products. You also get a loyalty card where you earn points every time you shop at any of their stores. Your shopping experience will be as lovely at this little boutique.

For Yves Rocher, this new store will provide products that are in line with its beauty brand for its growing market in Kenya. The company is looking forward to new prospects and more business in the country.
