OLX Kenya has launched a new Television commercial and office location today. The TV commercial highlights ways of avoiding fraudulent transactions for OLX users. The new OLX offices are at Capital West Building, Westlands, Nairobi.
Director of Digital Communication in the office of the president, Denis Itumbi said that OLX is a great e-commerce platform that will see Kenyans get value for their goods and services. He also mentioned that the Kenyan government has also embraced the use of internet to improve communication and announced that the government has introduced a whatsapp line 0773777888 where the government can easily interact with citizens.
Eunice Kariuki of ICTA lauded OLX as a timely idea in the wake of the broadband technology, saying that the government is going to adopt broadband technology to increase chances for Kenyans to make a living out of E-commerce. She urged young Kenyan entrepreneurs to take advantage of platforms like OLX to grow their businesses.
The chair person of COFEK, Ephraim Kanake lauded OLX for the quality, speed and cost effectiveness that’s involved in the business transactions.
The head OLX Kenya Kenya, Peter Ndiang’ui explained that OLX begun 2 years ago with the intention of creating win – win transactions. He said that so far some selling experiences have turned into chances to create good business have turned into chances to create good business and personal relationships. He added that OLX plans on continuing to be a give support for a growing vibrant e-commerce platform for talented people in Kenya.
