The most anticipated Jazz concert of the year is coming up. The Safaricom International Jazz Festival 2015 is going to be on 22nd February.

Gate open at 11 AM. Show starts at 1230 PM.

Tickets for the Safaricom Jazz Festival are going for Ksh. 1000 for regular tickets and Ksh. 300 for student tickets.

Other acts at the Safaricom Jazz Festival include Swahili Jazz Band, Isaiah Kutumwa (Uganda), Soweto Kinch (UK), Nicolas Kummet Voices (Belgium), Tomer Bar Trio (Israel), Ack Van Rooyen & Juraj Stanik (Netherlands). Special performance by Jimmy Dludlu.

Jonathan Butler, the headlining act for this year’s Safaricom Jazz International Festival, began his singing career at age 7, releasing his first album in 1973 and winning the Best New Artist Grammy in South Africa the following year at age 12. He was the first black artist played on white South African radio, earning three gold records in 1975.

A decade later, Butler moved to London, and released his first album internationally. The self-titled set went gold in 1987 in the UK and in the USA. In concert, Butler remains a captivating and powerful performer, pouring his heart into selections from his immense catalogue. The festival will take place at the Ngong Race Course on February 22nd. Don’t miss out.

For more information check out the Safaricom Jazz Festival Website.

You can get your ticket for the Safaricom Jazz Festival at select Safaricom Shops – Galleria, I&M, VM, Nakumatt Mega, Juction, TRM, Sarit Centre, and the Michael Joseph centre or via M-ticketing by dialling 1511.
