While you are thinking of exciting sites and monuments to visit in the UK, we are here to help you find the most interesting streets! Check out our list of the top 8 most popular streets you can cross and visit in the UK.

    1. Royal Crescent, Bath

Royal Crescent is by far the most popular and most photographed street in Bath, England. It gained popularity because of the gorgeous houses that are listed as the top housing in England and show off impeccable Georgian architecture!

The beautiful Royal Crescent street stretches above the Royal Victoria Park and allows you the best views of the cityscape. So, whenever you are in Bath, make your way to the area, and make sure to capture the moment.

     2. Oxford Street, London

Take a quick Bath to London train and get ready to see some of the most famous streets in Europe! As the most iconic street in London, Oxford Street is a bit otherworldly in its lavishness and posh vibes.

Imagine if Gossip Girl was filmed in Britain – the street would be their main hang-out! In reality, though, there are plenty of boutiques and shops of elite brands and luxurious fashion houses, making Oxford Street high-class!

   3. O’Connell Street, Dublin

Every Ireland trip includes sites that have a connection to St. Patrick and his celebration. Well, you could not find anything closer than O’Connell street – the most popular one in all of Ireland!

The route is where the famous St. Patrick’s Day Parade takes place, as well as the setting for the 1916 Commemoration every Easter Sunday. O’Connell is quite active on any day, but it turns crazy during these celebrations.

   4. Abbey Road, London

Every self-respecting Brit and every die-hard rocker know exactly what Abbey Road is. Since its namesake album’s release in 1969, the two are forever connected. No one visits Abbey Road in London and does not think of the Beatles, and no one can unsee their famous picture taken right there, across the still-existing pedestrian crossing. Absolutely iconic!

   5. Royal Mile, Edinburgh

Undoubtedly the busiest street in Scotland, the Royal Mile is an almost-exactly mile-long street in Edinburgh’s Old Town. It connects Edinburgh Castle with the Palace of Hollyrood house.

You will probably inevitably cross it once exploring Scotland’s capital city, but if by some miracle your itinerary does not take you there, make a trip to walk the Royal Mile on your own!

   6. Piccadilly, London

London’s Piccadilly is New York’s Time Square! Yes, it really shares the same vibe.

Just like Time Square, Piccadilly is colorful, loud, and energetic. There is always something going on, and there is no way to mistake it for any other place in London! Whenever you are there, make sure to bring a camera and capture its energy.

    7. Carnaby Street, London

Kicking off as the most popular place favorited by youngsters back in the Swinging Sixties, Carnaby Street is now famous as London’s heart of fashion and has a very distinctive vibe.

It has actually remained just as iconic as it used to be, buzzing with energy and creativity. Carnaby Street is simply there for you to have a good time! So, walk your way and have a good time like you are meant to!

     8. The Shambles, York

Remember how we mentioned self-respecting Brits when talking about Abbey Road? Well, yes, the Beatles are definitely a signature mark and Britain’s pride. But you know what else is? Harry Potter, of course!

The Shambles in York is one of the most famous medieval shopping streets in England, but mostly it is popular because it is the spitting image of Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley. There is no other way to perceive it, and it is plenty enjoyable!

Have fun walking across these streets! They are all significant in one way or another, so there is nothing stupid about putting a street name on your itinerary. Grab a camera, and let’s go!
