Maybe it’s true,
But what I have with you,
Aint no religion.
You are my sunshine in the rain,
My calm in the storm.
You are the medicine that heals my heart.
My faith in you is a boat in the flood,
As long as I believe,
The floods won’t wash me away.
You are my anchor,
Keeping me anchored in the sea
Yet my lighthouse,
You give me hope that the my canaan is ahead.
It aint all honey and sugar,
What I have with you,
Sometimes I feel like the lemons are more than the oranges,
But I am learning to make lemonade.
What we have is real,
It aint a drug with temporary effects,
It’s a walk together everyday.
