Taking care of multiple babies can be really tricky, overwhelming, and downright hard. However, most parents are willing to try anything to help make life easier for them in such situations. Others learn to get adept at coming up with shortcuts, strategies, and solutions to help them achieve this. If you have more than one baby, here are 8 hacks you can use.

Stick to a Schedule

Try and keep all of them on the same schedule. Life gets much easier when all your babies are on the same page. For instance, when one baby wakes up, all the others should do so as well. A routine where everyone spends their waking hours together, sleeping and eating at the same time helps make things way more pleasant for you.

Simplify Mealtimes

Juggling multiple hungry babies at the same time can prove very stressful. So whether you’re bottle-feeding or breastfeeding, do everything you can to master simultaneous feeding. You can maintain sanity if you find how you can feed all of them simultaneously.

Let Them Fuss

As a parent, you’re most likely going to want to attend to your little ones whenever there’s any sign of distress. However, sometimes those cries and whimpers shouldn’t call for your attention. When you have multiple babies, let them be comfortable in each other’s noise. It may take some time at first, but eventually, all of you will get used to it.

Room Sharing

You shouldn’t put your young ones in your bed or the same bed, even though it looks super sweet. It’s safer to sleep your babies separately. However, you can room share until they’re six months old. This will help make life a lot easier. If you must have them in your room, bassinet sleepers will allow you to sleep your babies side-by-side next to you without having to share your bed.

Preparing Formula Beforehand

One of the things you can do to make life easier for yourself is preparing formula bottles or babies’ breast milk ahead of time. Prepping and cleaning your babies takes a lot more of your time than you think. So, anything you can prepare beforehand can help save you a lot of time. Sensitive Baby Formulas You Need To Know About

Hands-Free Pumping

Whether you pump exclusively or occasionally, this often tends to be a lot of work. Traditional pumps usually restrict you to one spot and don’t allow you to do anything else. With multiple babies, you need all the time you can get, so consider using hands-free pumps, which will allow you to do other things while you pump.

Multiple Diaper Changing Stations

Create several different changing stations around your house to allow for easy access to supplies whenever you need them. This will enable you to change your babies quickly and avoid you having to go to one certain spot whenever a baby soils themselves. Ensure each station has a full diaper kit so that you can do everything at once.  10 Must-Haves For A New Mum

Get Ahead on Meals

Carving out some time to make meals beforehand can prove to be a lifesaver when you’re taking care of multiple babies. Most babies will get hungry just when you’re about to start preparing dinner, and having theirs beforehand will help spare you a lot of headaches.

Taking care of one baby is hard enough. Taking care of many can be exhausting especially when you have no idea how to juggle the tasks. Don’t worry, though. It’s not impossible to do. These hacks are a lifesaver for parents with multiple babies.
