Getting ready for that magical wedding day?

Planning your wedding can be fun and stressful at the same time, and sometimes nothing is as stressful as getting the perfect dress for your fairytale wedding. Don’t worry we got you covered.

  1. Sizing

Don’t be worried that a size 8 dress doesn’t fit you and immediately want to go on a diet. Due to the materials and designs, wedding dresses vary in size from normal clothes and almost everyone needs to make adjustments.

Most wedding dresses aren’t ready to wear either. After the bride-to-be finds her dress, it still has to be finished and tailored to fit her perfectly. So, it’s alright to have a body goal for your special day but keep in mind that the sizing may be different in wedding dresses.

  1. Time

The early bride catches her dream dress. This is not a myth but the early you start shopping the more likely you are to find the exact wedding dress you’ve dreamt about since you were a little girl. Shopping, especially for important days such as your wedding, needs time and patience.

Some people start shopping for their wedding dress a year in advance and it might seem extreme but pays off in the end since you’ll look flawless in the gown of your dreams. This is especially for the picky shoppers (like me). However, make sure not to shop too early lest you end up with an outdated dress. Getting Married? Here Is A Wedding Checklist You Can Use

  1. Options

Be open to other designs different from the one you’ve been dreaming of. That may sound absurd but at times what we want isn’t always what is best for us. Bridal designers have a better understanding of what designs look good on different body types and often help you find something close to what you’d like. Sometimes, all the dress needs is some few tweaks to make it perfect.

  1. Cost

For costs, set a realistic budget then start with the cheaper options then work your way up as opposed to the other way around. Generally, wedding dresses are quite expensive. So, this method will save you money (of course) and a lot of disappointments. There’s nothing as bad as finding your perfect wedding dress then it ends up being too costly. When you start cheap you’re more likely to find a great dress before you get to the expensive ones.

Another way to stay on budget is to shop for sale dresses. Most bridal shops have clearance sales so stay on the look for these deals and you may find the dress of your dreams.

  1. Theme

As you choose a theme for your wedding, keep your wedding dress in mind too. The easiest way to find a wedding dress that coordinates with your theme is to pick 2 or 3 words that describe your dress. It could be classic, vintage, royal, golden, bright and many more.

  1. Have Fun

Shopping for your wedding dress is a memorable and magical experience. It’s important to have people who won’t dampen the mood. Bring your closest friends and/or family when you’re shopping. They will have an unbiased opinion as well as support your decision. It’s advisable not to bring more than 3 people along to avoid too many conflicting opinions. Remember, it’s part of your big day and have fun with it.
