If you are a history lover or just love photographs there is an event you need to attend today. Pawa 254 will be showing a preview of some old and rare photos from the Kenya News Agency.

“Nearly 1 million photos from this collection are now being digitized, and the photos will be made available to the public online. The photos span the colonial government to today and include photos depicting every day life, major historical events, buildings and architecture and cultural highlights.”

There are amazing photos in the KNA collection and some of them will be previewed tonight. There will also be a discussion on the importance and relevance of the photos. Also how these photos can be turned into stories and content for today’s generation.

According to PAWA 254 you should attend if you are:

  • Researchers and users of historical content
  • Photographers
  • Filmmakers
  • Creatives
  • Librarians
  • Archivists
  • Curious people with ideas

Entry is free but you need to register in advance. Click here to register.

The exhibition starts at 6 pm to 9 pm.
