It is typically very difficult to order for food delivery in most African cities; it is hard to find great restaurants, even harder to get a working phone number, almost impossible to know what’s on the menu and how much it costs and many other challenges that make the entire process frustrating for any hungry customer. Hellofood identified a gap and provides customers with the knowledge of great restaurants that are accessible to them so that they can place their order for delivery in the shortest time possible from the comfort of their homes or offices.

Hellofood is the city’s one-stop meal solution provider that allow customers to select a meal of their choice from their favourite restaurants.Using a desktop or the hellofood mobile app, foodies all over the continent now have easy access to the best restaurants in the city,  Currently they have over 140+ partner restaurants to choose from on the hellofood site.

The restaurants are in no specific order. Delivery charge ranges from Ksh 100 – 400 per delivery.

1. OSTERIA – LENANA ROAD. KILIMANI
Serves continental, pasta and pizza.
Customers love Osteria mostly because of the authenticity of their pizza and they have over 15 recipes that cater to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian customers. They also have great pasta and scrumptious desserts like fresh fruit sandwiches, tiramisu or strawberry cake.

2. NAKED PIZZA – WESTLANDS
Serves Healthy food, salads and pizza
What makes Naked pizza stand out from the rest of the pizza restaurants is that their crust is super healthy because it is made from probiotic grains with a mix of more than 10 seeds. This is a popular option for those who want a treat but still want to stay healthy. They also have great salads too.

3. BREW BISTRO – NGONG ROAD
Serves Barbeque, burgers, continental food and pasta.
They have great gourmet burgers that come with homemade potatoes and Belgian fries. Also known for great Tapas (Spanish appetizers) and their burritos. Also on Sundays they have wonderful brunch that consists of freshly baked bread like Croissants, toasted ciabatta, panckaes and waffles.

4. BOBOS – CBD
Halal, Pizza and Turkish Cuisine
Bobos are known for their pide (Turkish pizza) and Kebabs wrapped in pita bread or wraps. Also what is a popular dish at Bobos are their lunch boxes that consist of beef and chicken koftes – these are a little like kebabs but include parsley and mint on a stick that is grilled.

5. ROYAL KITCHEN – WESTLANDS
Serves Chinese, Indian, seafood and vegetarian
Another one of the more popular restaurants and their menu is quite diverse. Best sellers include Gun Bao chicken, Chicken poussin, Murgh chicken (butter chicken) Beef or chicken chowmen along with Egg fried rice. A personal favorite is the stir fried beef with mild chillies that can be enjoyed with rice or naan.

6. BIG SQUARE – JUNCTION AND LAVINGTON
Serves Barbeque, burgers, cakes and pastries
This is one of the more popular fast food joints in the city, specially known for their square burgers, their ribs, sticky chicken and barbeque wings. This is also a great treat for kids as they have fries that can come with wings, sausages or chicken.

7. PERI PERI – LAVINGTON
Serves Barbeque, chicken, Indian and pizza
They have a good deal where if you buy one large pizza, you get a free plate of chicken wings too. Peri Peri is also known for their great Poussin chicken as well as curries such as fish curry, chicken curry, beef curry, mutton curry or prawn curry.

8. SWAHILI PLATE – NGONG ROAD AND SARIT CENTER WESTLANDS
Specialize in Swahili dishes, this restaurant has great portions of best cooked meals from the coastal region. The options range from chicken, beef or fish biryani to holiday specials like Grilled chicken, muhogo and fish. They also have a scrumptious Swahili snacks like mahamri, kaimati or katlesi.

9. MISTER WOK – PARKLANDS
Serves seafood and Chinese cuisine
If you are a fan of dumplings then this is a great option – the recipes vary from mushroom dumplings, garden dumplings, chicken dumplings or steamed shrimp dumplings. Also serve great rice and noodles as well as fish, prawns and crab.

10. PETES – NGONG ROAD
Serves Salads and sandwiches
Pete’s specialize in Mexican cuisine and are famous for their Burritos and Quesadillas. They also have a great breakfast option with baked goods like pancakes, waffles, bagels or big breakfast dishes that includes fruits as well.
